A message from Chairman, Karen Sanders

Welcome to the Houston County Republican

Party! I am Karen Sanders, your county

chairwoman.  Thank you for joining us as we

work together to promote the principles and

values that define our party.

Houston County is home to the Peanut

Capital of the World, famous for its rich

agricultural heritage and the gem of the

Wiregrass. We are a conservative county.

The Houston County Republican Party is

committed to conservative values including

believing in One Nation under God; individual liberty; protecting liberty; encouraging free enterprise; law and order; limited government; and fiscal responsibility.

Our focus is putting forth candidates at the local, state and federal levels, who adhere to our conservative principles and are responsive to the best interests of our community we proudly call home.  It is very important not to get complacent.  The Primary Election on May 19th, 2026, matters. Primary elections are where you pick our candidate.

The strength of our party is a combined effort of volunteers, donors, and putting forth our core values.  It takes all of us, working together, to elect Republicans to state and local offices and to build a strong Houston County Republican Party. Our focus is to keep Alabama red!

Thank you for visiting our website and for being a part of the Houston County Republican Party.  I look forward to working with you.
